Foreign Policy Issues:
- Acknowledgment and take serious action to stop genocide in Darfur.
- Call upon Iranian Leader Ahmadinejad to establish peace with Israel and apologize for calling for their destruction.
- Call upon China to respect human rights of their citizens and refugees from other countries.
- Work on global food crisis, particularly for children in developing countries.
- End all commercial whaling and strengthen conservation and management measures to preserve whales.
- Urge
president to implement comprehensive policies to promote the reduction
of global poverty and achievement of the UN Millennium Development goal
of Reduction of 50% of people worldwide by 2015 who live on $1 or less
per day.
- End the practice of torture and close Guantanamo and other torture camps.
- Act
to amend the Tropical Forest Conservation Act of 1998 to provide debt
relief to developing countries who protect tropical forests and coral
reefs associated with coastal ecosystems.
- Reduce the number of American military forces in Iraq ASAP.
- End
the practice of presidential military initiatives without the approval
and authorization by Congress as is spelled out in the Constitution
- Bring the majority of our troops home from Iraq ASAP.
- Hold
military contractors to the same standards as US troops are held to, do
an investigation into their inappropriate behavioral practices and end
their torturing practices and other unacceptable behaviors while
holding them accountable for these practices.
