1. Withdrawal troops from Iraq ASAP, and seriously restructuring our approach to dealing with the problems with Afghanistani militants. 

2.  Care for our veterans

• Review and restructure military/medical records destroyed in the 1973 St. Louis fire; care for veterans who have been denied benefits that are due to them as a consequence of military related injuries.  One shouldn't have to wait 50 years like I did before the claim is settled. 
• Education and training under improved GI Bill benefits.
• All honorably discharged veterans deserve an expansion, assessment and treatment of mental health issues (e.g. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and also, all veterans deserve complete other health and dental care.
• Stop extending military terms of duty beyond terms of enrollment without reenlistment.
• Give veterans priority in terms of employment so that they don't have to sleep under a bridge or beg for financial assistance because they have no job or home.  Veterans should have priority in terms of jobs and provision of social services.
